Giving depth to topography

Hello !!

i have created a terrain/topography in Revit using Google sketchup . I have the terrain data but want to give it depth as you can see in the screenshot that its only a thin sheet. How can i give it depth so it seems a real 3D topography.

Cut it with a 3D section box or create a 2D section view.

Should work.  Did you try it in a Section View?

i tried both in section view and without it but i also changed the angle display and units in the same window . Is it because of that ?

Toposurface is a surface, hence the name. You need to cut it with a 3d section box, a 2d section line, or a floor plan cut plane to see the "cut volume". The option Elevation of poche base dictates how deep the bottom of the topo to be when cut, but the topo still needs to be cut by one of the above.
