Getting new walls, with solid fill, to show in fine display representation?

I've done this forever and I'm sure there are various ways to approach but for some reason I can't remember how I set it up.

Most of my plan drawing is residential remodel projects. I want the existing walls to have no fill.

Demo walls to be hatched

And new walls to have solid fill.

Lately I've been having to select all the new walls and change the graphic display with a solid fill override. But this is a pain.

I created a wall style "3 1/2" stud solid fill", And the solid fill only displays in coarse view. which I never use.

I thought I could go into phasing and change the display of walls in New Construction to have solid fill but this isn't working for some reason. (In fine display representation)

I'm sure there is a simple, professional way to accomplish this if someone can give me some direction.

Thank You

Use Coarse Scale Fill Pattern/Color.

Material Surface and Cut Fill Patterns would get you there as well.  Phase filters should as well, although I wouldn't use for this.

Thanks Bart but Coarse scale fill patterns don't display in fine view representation.
