Getting Light Sources to Work

I'm not great at lighting fixtures in Revit.  I can't get this lighting fixture to "work".  I don't know if it is an issue with the light sources in the family or something else.  I need all the bulbs to be "ON" when I render (using enscape).  I'm attaching the family (Revit 2017) and an example of the render (the lights are clearly not working).

Render:

I don't know why I can't attach the family. If someone knows, I can add it

do you have Artificial Lights turned on?

Here's my result w/ Sun + Artificial.

Are all the bulbs lighting up individually? It looks like some of them are still dark. There is definitely at least one light source because I am getting shadows from the light. (and yes the light fixture is "ON" when go to the artificial lights and it is on Sun and Artificial)  I really need each bulb to light individually.

They are all on.  Maybe you want to adjust intensity? Nested light source parameters are only accessible directly.  They are not associated to parent parameters.   Understand?

Capture shows View with Light Source turned on. As you see, all bulbs are emitting light.

BTW: only one light is controlled via the Parent Parameters.  I would suggest associating all the nested light source parameters to Parent parameters and then experimenting with different settings (watttage, etc.) in Project.  Frankly, I bumped them up to 25w each and sunlight still washed them out.  In reality, they are much lower wattage.

Ah! might be Material related at your end! Screenshot the Rendering Appearance Properties of the  Glass Bulb Material you are using.

FWIW: You might want to look at a Glass Bulb Material Asset with Self-Illumination property for your Sunlight + Artificial Rendering.  Revit has a few of them.  "Light Bulb On" is one for example.

Sunlight+Artificial Ray Trace with (#1) and without (#2) Self-Illumination...

Maybe #1 is what you are after?

… hi @ellie7XSRV

… take a look at these pictures in ENSCAPE

… is this what you are looking for ?

1.jpg

2.jpg

3.jpg

4.jpg

… in REVIT

create a new material …. rename it as “bulb”

... (create a new one or this will not work)

… grab all the small glass bulbs in the lamp

… change all of them for this new bulb one

... in the asset browser chose the light bulb on ... as a new material

... as @barthbradley previously suggested

bulb 1.jpg

… don’t change anything else... just the glass ...

bulb.jpg

... in REVIT

... will be like ... the same result

Typically the solution credit goes to the person that originally suggested the solution.  That was me.  FWIW.
