Getting family text to show up in plan?

So, I'm making a window trim family and need the "1x10 Trim" text to show up in my main model. I made a generic annotation family and put it into the trim family. Its just not showing up in my main model. I need it to show up like the 1x6 Trim in the image below. Any suggestions?

Do you want the text to show on plan or elevation?  If elevation then you cannot.  Tag them instead.
