Getting a roof to cut gemetry

What is the easiest way to get a roof to cut, (join), another roof?

I swear I've done this 50 times but every time I do I try a dozen methods till I finally get it to work. Then when I have to do it again I forget how I did it.

But one thing is for certain, join and cut geometry works for me about NEVER! I sometimes wonder why  that tool was even invented because it does not ever work for me for anything.

Please send good vibes and a solution so I can get happy again.

Have you tried Roof Join tool?

There is a principle on when to Cut Geometry and Join Geometry but it takes some typing and I am on a phone so it has to wait.

Hi @vanderloo5

Thanks a lot for posting your question to the forums! For me, it all depends on the type of roof. This will determine how I approach the creation.

As @ToanDN suggests, the join tool can be a great way to connect roofs, also utilizing the cut and join commands to get what you need.

@SteveKStafford & @Alfredo_Medina, im sure will have some tricks on this too.

We look forward to hearing back from you with more information so we can help you as a community!

As @ToanDN said, use the roof join tool.
