Generic Model Tags are missing the Volume Label

The Generic Model Tag is missing the label "Volume". The Volume is calculated in the project but can not be displayed with the tag.

For reference, the Structural Column Tag as well as Structural Beam Tags are able to display the Volume. Columns and Beams display the Volume the same way the Generic Model is.

This seems like an oversight (bug) to me.

Applies to Revit 2017 and older.

edit: Mass Tags can also display the volume (they call it Gross Volume)

Ouch. The only thing that I can suggest would be to create a label with a text shared parameter.

Another hack to try - go into the model-in-place environment and when you are prompted for category, drop the families that you need to tag into a category that you know gives a parameter to calculate volume. Then create a tag for that category and use it to annotate these items.
