Hi all,

I woul like to create a family void that cuts the Entire and only the  thickness of surface host (NB not super void thickness accepted)

I have tryed to lock the surface into reference plance but still not working.

Any idea?

Are you saying you want the opening to penetrate through the entire thickness of the Floor? If so, Revit has a tool for that called "Opening By Face".

...you could also make the opening in Floor sketch mode.
