Generic Annotation as a sheet checklist

Hello,

I need assistance in creating a checklist directly on our sheet for our designer to review before converting it to PDF. Currently, we use an Excel spreadsheet for this purpose, which the designer opens and goes through before finalizing the sheet. However, I would like to incorporate the checklist directly into the sheet.

For this I have created a generic annotation that has the checklist with the text and check marks. What I would like to happen is I want the entire checklist to disappear once all the items have been checked off. However, I have encountered some issues in achieving this.

Currently, the green checkmarks are controlled by Checkmark I, II, etc., while the visibility of text and lines is controlled by the Text visibility parameter. I have been able to make all the text and lines disappear when all the check marks are ticked off which leaves only the check marks visible but when I start adding formulas so that that the check marks also disappear I encountered an error message stating "There is a circular chain of references among the formulas," which is understandable.

I would appreciate any suggestions or workarounds to make the entire checklist disappear when it is completed.

Thank you.

@mlvau

You need two layers of visibility

  1. Instead of having the checkmarks in the parent family, model them in a child/nested family (each checkmark in the child would be associated with a Y/N parameter)
  2. after nesting the checkmark family, Map/associate the visibility of each mark from the child to a parameter in the parent
  3. Add an extra visibility parameter for the nested family with the condition that when all checkmarks are checked the entire nested family is invisible
