gbxml accuracy when windows/doors families have a void and not an opening

Hello community!

We have a question here!

If we want to generate a gbxml file based on our Revit model and there are some windows that have been created using a void instead of an opening.

The output of the for this windows is not going to be correct as the exporter identify openings within windows or door categories.

Are we right assuming this?

Link attached to Autodesk description of the surface analysis:

Many thanks in advance for your support!!!

I went through the link briefly and found nothing requires fenestration must be using Opening Cuts instead of Voids.

@ToanDN is right. A hole in a wall is a hole in the wall, is a hole in the wall.  The energy modeler does not care how the hole got there, via opening, void, edited profile, etc...

You can always look at the generated energy model in Revit to verify if you are getting what you expect before exporting to gbXML.
