Hi, a have an issue about the migration of FBX files genereted in Revit 2019 and linked in 3DS Max 2017.

As we know, the best pratice teach us to change the 3DS Max system Unit to Feet, so we don´t have any conversion problems between both programs. But in my case, when i do this and chage the display unit to meters in 3DS Max, the model appears huge for me. For example, a wall with 13m long is now measuring 300m long.

Can anyone help please! Thanks in advance!

It would seem that you are converting inches to mm so you will need to make sure that you are exporting from Revit in mm.  I assume that you're working in metric.  Make sure to change the units in Max before importing.

Thanks for your answer.

But, actually, I´m changing the revit units to Feet and fractional inches and exporting the file to FBX.

And in 3DS Max, before loading it, changing the system units to feet....the dysplay units does not matter....right?

And the problem continues...

I made a test:

started a new project in revit with feet dimensions and made the same process.... the results are in the screencast.

the screen from 3dsmax is box with original dimensions of revit....and the giant one is the FBX file...

Please share your actual model to test.

We will also test this on our end.

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for the files. I did not see the screencast (video) link or attachment.

Alos, can you confirm the versions of 3ds max and Revit  (if you have the latest updates for these applications?)
