Hi Everyone,
I am working with my team towards fully migrating from autocad 2D to Revit. Just to give a picture we are mainly working on furniture layouts and part of our daily workflow is to create schedules with proposed furniture. We are currently building our furniture library and hopefully we will soon start working entirely in Revit. Well my question is about exporting furniture schedules in excel.
Below is a furniture schedule as this appears under the "Schedules / Quantities" section in the project browser
While this is a view of the actual furniture schedule when imported in a sheet:
This is exactly what I need however the question is how to export this to an excel file. I know that I can do this through File > Exports > Reports ... but in this way it won't let you export the product pictures. I could do this manually but most of the time the list of products is very long so this would take a long time.
Alternatively I tried the roombook extention which looks promising but I have some issues there. Below is the calculation settings ( i am only interested on furniture take off, so I have unticked all other elements in the calculation range)
The problems with this method are the following:
- The generated excel doesn include the specified furniture finishes
- Not all pictures appear on the relevant field, and those showing up are not linedrawings but rather a auto generated shaded view of the product
- There are coloumns with information that I don't need (eg. category etc.)
Could someone shed some light on this please, if there are any changes I should do to the roombook parameters before the calculation process or potentially changesI should do to the actual furniture family parameters, to have my schedules exported as per the above image (second screenshot)
Thanks all in advance for taking the time to read my post. Any tips would pe very appreciated!
Thanks
