Hi
I installed revit 2018 student version and it work very well. But in school we use revit 2017 and i want to have the same version at home so i can do changes and stuff in my drawings etc.(Only used revit 3 times evere) so i unistalled revit 2018 and installed 2017 instead. But now i can´t do anything. Everytime i try to create a new project i get this message: DefaultMetric.rte was saved in a later version of revit and cannot be retreived in this version.
I cant find any saved files from 2018 on my computer. any suggestions?
Regards
Oscar
It sounds like the 2017 version of out of the box content didn't get installed...or you are browsing to a file you saved in 2018.
You can download the 2017 content here

It wasn't the 2017 content that was the problem. Any other suggestions on what it could be? or do i need to uninstall and run 2018 and open the school versions as IFC
It sounds as though you are not mapped to the correct locations for OOTB templates.
Click on R>>Options>>File Locations
You will see project template files there. You can add or remove project template files in this location. Navigate to the Revit 2017 content.
Can you share the RTE that you are using?
I cant start one. i can only start the program. So when i try to create a ny AT i get this message: DefaultMetric.rte was saved in a later version of Revit and cannot be retrieved in this version.
I am not asking you to open anything. Navigate to this location, post the file.
