Amazing @constantin.stroescu

Thanks for taking the time to post the pics and share your work with us! Smiley (fröhlich)

I like the fact that you have integrated bitmaps in your rendering and added sketches, I would love to have just directly sketch in Revit too!

Thanks for participating! Please look forward to a voting announcement early next week and we will pick 2 winners.

Thank you Viveka,

Yes, I think it will be great to can include sketches" by hand" into Revit directly  if possible as Vector not Raster...and turn it in a Detail Item.

Hi @constantin.stroescu

Yes, a sketch turning into a detail item is a cool idea, please submit your request through our IdeaStation

The product team will review this request and take it into consideration for further development.

That is some beautiful work Constantin.

Here is a Mechanical Room retrofit project I'm working on. The blue piping is existing-to-remain.

Thanks for sharing @chrisplyler, it's cool how you have used transparency to show the blue piping that represents existing-to-remain. Kudos.

Thanks Viveka. On sheets it the existing prints light gray while the new prints black. So that's good. And while I'm modeling, the transparency is helpful to be able to see through the clutter of the existing while still connecting the new piping to it. And I'm pretty proud of myself for creating the equipment families myself based on manufacturers' data sheets. Not that I haven't done it before, and not that they're special, but just that I'm getting better at it and able to do it in pretty reasonable time.

I didn't realize this was a contest. I might not have embarrassed myself by entered anything if I had known. Constantin obviously is a genius.

What about you? Do you do any modeling yourself? As a Tech Support Specialist I'm guessing maybe you must have some experience?

I really like what you did with those roofs that make the building look like some angled cubes. Great geometry.

@chrisplyler that's cool that you've created the equipment families myself based on manufacturers' data sheets.

No worries, you are automatically entered into this contest.Smiley (fröhlich) and I'm hoping to see more participation from all - especially new members!

Yes, I like 3D modeling myself, though of late its been CDs and detail drawings.

Since you asked, I'm sharing a conceptual design for a beach stage below - It was a fun opportunity to design this a couple of years ago for a band.

Just recently, I've been given a task to design several Australian homes. Our client wanted an angular terraced form and demanded that we reach the top limits set by the building code. This made all very difficult because the site is near the street crossing which gave only one option for the ramp position. So to enforce an angular terraced form here, I consulted civil engineers. They said that we can set GF wood framing wall axes off garage wall axes. This was the first time I knew this is possible :). Anyway, after few variations, the investors accepted my solution. The images show the concept stage... I just finished few changes to the adaptable dwelling (not shown in this print though). Tomorrow we start developing for the building permit application.

I like it ..it's an easy to understand representation . I like the way you use the shadow ...discreete , but enough to sustain the 3d idea.

Did you also used a Filter for this or only Phasing > Graphic Overrides?

I like your type of presentation. The monochrome 3d views with only a few color accent placed on the furniture pieces. The chairs being at standard (human) dimensions give us an accurate information about the scale of the building objects.... the same effect as placing a human figure as element of scale...very clever!

I don't know if it is allowed to send in a structural project but here it is.

No add-on used for the Reinforcement.

Hi @Ilic.Andrej

Your commitment to this project from concept to construction is just great.Smiley (fröhlich)

Australian homes, angled terrace, challenging site, wood framing ... WOW and I'm happy to hear when you mentioned -

"Tomorrow we start developing the building permit application."

Best wishes for the project and please inspire us more by adding pictures during or post-construction.

Hi @-FDC-

Thanks for taking time to upload the sheets and for sharing your work - very inspiring!Smiley (fröhlich)

And absolutely no worries - any entries in Revit are welcome!

It's cool to note that you've not used any add-ons, and the sheets are detail-oriented, neat and organized with the proficient use of color.

Some of the notes are not readable, it will be great if you can add a little note to describe and we can understand the project better.

Regards,

I am very impressed by the presentation styles of both @Ilic.Andrej and @-FDC-. Two styles that could not be more different, yet somehow both are so highly effective at communicating the designs.

Makes me look at my own work and think, "Dangit!"

Hi @Viveka_CD,

Thanks for your constructive comment !

It is correct that some notes are unreadable but I didn't expect someone would be interested.

There is only one note on the sheet and it is in Dutch language.

The rest are bending schedules and of course the reinforcement detailing.

I also deleted the title block because I didn't ask the clients agreement to post this (I am quite sure though they don't have any problem with it).

This project is part of a river lock (sort of) complex.

The locks will be used for flood control to protect certain residential zones.

On high tide the water will fill the "reservoirs" and on low tide the reservoirs will automatically "drain".

Extra benefit is that we also create a unique tide eco system this way (like it was a hundred years ago).

I posted one pdf as attachment to get more detail.

Also a link with a photo of one of the previous locks I did in Autocad (this is a bigger one and text is in Dutch but the photo can explain what it is).
