formula for text parameters?

I have (3) shared Parameters that each have the same value

1. Room Number

2. Apartment Number

3. Unit Number

all are text parameters that report the alpha numeric value (ie:) R-340

is there a formula that would allow me to enter the value once (room number) and have it populate the other parameter fields?

I keep getting syntax and other errors.

thank you for any help with this.

thanks for the reply, that option is not available for my room schedule.

I did mistakenly leave that piece of information out of my question.

I was thinking of a formula in a schedule for calculated values using text parameters.

I cant seem to get the syntax correct

If these value truly are the same then you can do this without Shared Parameters.  In the room tag add a label that is a formula to equal the Room Name (do this twice).  In the schedule add a formula to equal the Room Name (again do this twice).

If you are trying to use the shared parameters I don't think there is a way to do this.  I have attached a simple Dynamo script to copy one parameter value into another.  If using Dynamo Player then you can choose the values being copied.  Downside is obviously this has to be ran anytime there is a change.

thanks for the idea

these are shared parameters to be used and filtered in a variety of schedules.

the formula needs to be added into the conditional formatting tab of the schedule itself.

it seems I have painted myself into a corner here.

manually enter then copy paste throughout

I assumed it was a bit more complicated than it seemed.  That is why I added the Dynamo Script because I have several clients who do some similar things and the copy paste is way to tedious to watch let alone do. 🙄

Do you need them for a schedule or tags?  Below is an example if schedule.

I need them more for scheduling as the room tag covers the room number.

I currently do not have 2019 Revit installed.

I will try to get that soon.

thank you
