Formatting Index of Drawings

See the attached schedule created for the List of Drawings. The only sheets in the Revit file are the architectural. The rest are outside Revit, added by creating placeholder rows in the schedule.

I created a field parameter for sort order and one for discipline. I numbered all the sheets in the order I wanted them listed, utilizing the sort order column. Then I added letters designating the disciplines in the discipline column (A, S, M, E, P).

Then I sorted first by discipline and then by sort order. I checked the box that created a shaded row between each discipline. Now I would like to add the word ARCHITECTURAL, STRUCTURAL, ETC. in the shaded rows before each group of sheets. How do I do that?

Hello @Anonymous,

I think this is what you want?

Do the following:

Add the Discipline parameters to sheets and fill in the Disciplines (ARCHITECTURAL, STRUCTURAL, ETC.)

  1. Sort by parameter Discipline
  2. Check the Header box
  3. Go to the Formatting tab, select the Discipline parameter and check the Hidden Field box.

See the Revit project I created for you in the attachment.

Note:

You could write a Dynamo script that puts in the right Discipline name based on the first capital of your Sheet number.
