Footings Missing in Section

I'm frustrated and don't know what to do.  Why are my footings not visible? How do  I make them visible?  They don't even show up when I reveal hidden elements.  How can this be?  Where did I screw up?

Select the topo, right click, override by category, surface transparency = 100%

Where's the cut plane? Does it intersect with the footings?

...might even try raising your topo poche to reveal the footings within the primary view range.

We normally show footing not cut by the section line like this.

Same here.

Via Show Hidden Lines (View Tab) and/or View Discipline.

I like that!  Is that drawn with detail lines?

No, the section cut plane did not intersect the footings.  I figured out how to cut the section, though, and run part of it through the footing, so that helped...

Change Discipline to Structural (if Structural Elements) or use Show Hidden Lines tool.

No.  Use Show Hidden Lines tool on the View panel.

Thanks, that really helps!  Most of my drawing disciplines are set to coordination.  I had no idea about the hidden line tool.

The trick to using the Show Hidden Line tool, which escapes many, is to go into a Wireframe mode, and then select the element to be hidden first, and then the element that is hiding it.  When you return to Hidden View, the hidden lines will be shown.   Remember, the View 's Show Hidden Lines (under Properties) must be turned on also.
