Footing Dissapear in Sections

Hi,

the model is fine but somehow the footing just dissapear in 1 of the sections.

I tried VG (generic models is fine) as well as <revealing hidden elements>, but still failed.

TQ,

Jiner

Is the Category Visible? Maybe Discipline in overriding.

Are the elements not shown within the Far Clipping Distance?

Here's a cheat sheet to reference with you can't find stuff in the View:

...another guess: are the footings actually footings or are they beams?  If so, perhaps the Structural Family Category's Detail Level is set to Coarse under VGOs.

You could always make a View Template from the View they show in and then apply this VT to the View that they don't show in.

I model these footing with<CREATE> <EXTRUSION>.

Far clip shuould be fine,

I turned on fine level but still no footing.

Now for the sake of due date I quickly fix it with <DETAIL LINES>

Plus when trace it on section using <DETAIL LINES>,

IDK why the actual footing was copied across all views...

I cant seem to explain it, will fix it after the due date.

6 far clip section.PNG7 detail lines.PNG

(1) far clip

(2) Now is temporal detail line drawing.

What category did you choose to create the in place model? Make sure the category is turned on for the view.

In general, refrain from using model in place as much as you can. For example, you could you beams or walls for those foundation.

I chose GENERIC MODELS.
so it doesn’t actually work well?

I decide to do so because beam& columns can’t seem to fit building
underneath the ground.

There are better suited category such as Structural Foundation.  Structural beams underground are grade beams so I don't see what your concern is.

Have you tried moving the Section Marker forward or backwards a teeny tiny bit?

Have a look on my Revit file, I guess there will be lots of glitch & bugs.

I guess there's some big issue here:

(1) Footings disappear in one of the Section ( I traced it with detail lines )

(2) Stud wall --- see exploded axo, some parts are insulated panels, IDK howda use empty system panel.

(3) Also related to stud wall-- The windows cant seem to fit in the "stud wall" ( curtain panel) that i created, it just either flip or extrude out or not properly insert.

Stud wall ( also asked by me) :

Hi,

Cuz i think Structural Foundation in revit maybe bit a bit complex to start with? ( And it's not in Architectural tab isn't it?)

I used model in place just for quick way to model like a indicative footing, cuz also for this assignment the concern is not on construction but aesthetics. lol

Post some resources to start with <Structural Foundation in revit>.

Thx.

Bada bing!

Change the Far Clip to No Clip.  Voila! There they are!

I have brought in the Empty System Panel into your model.
