Floor plans not showing in Plumbing

I am attempting to do the plumbing on a five story house in mechanical project. All the floorplans show in HVAC, but won't show in plumbing, does anyone know how to get the floors to show in plumbing?

  1. Check View temple / Visibility graphics
  2. Check Worksets (could be that other trades are on a different workset(s) which has/have been switched off)
  3. Check if Plumbing has been isolated (ie: everything else is hidden) - use the bulb icon to reveal hidden elements
  4. Check view range or if the plumbing has been modeled using an RCP plan rather than floor plan
  5. Check phase filters and the phase of the plumbing views

… can be a long list of reasons. if you elaborate on what you have already checked it might be helpful to narrow down the reason

Duplicate your view then in the new view properties >> sub-discipline : choose plumbing

  • Open one of the mechanical views.
    • go to the View Ribbon > View Templates > Create View template from Current View
    • Name it Mech VT
  • open a Plumbing View
    • go to the View Ribbon > View Templates > Create View template from Current View
    • Name it Plumb VT
  • apply each view template to a plumbing view.

if one fixes the issue then there is a problem with your view settings. compare the 2 VT's and see whats different.
