Floor plan enlargement shows nothing

I've got a floor plan (created with detail lines) I'm trying to make an enlargement (callout) of but whenever I make the callout, nothing shows up in the callout. I checked the visibility graphics setting and everything is turned on.

Ideas?

so if i understand correctly.... you made a floor plan using Detail lines, then made of call-out in the floor plan?

if so.... Details Lines are view specific. so making a call-out of a plan that was only drawn with details will produce a call-out with nothing in it. use model lines or use actual walls.

I'll add that Ref. Planes work well for layout lines too - if that the aim here.  FWIW.

Convert those detail lines to model lines.

I don't usually model floor plans but I needed to create a quick floor plan based on a point cloud I had linked to the project model. So, rather than trying to figure out how to model what I saw in the point cloud, I decided to just "draw" over to of it. When I get more time (yet, right) I definitely need to look into more architectural features of Revit.

Well, learned something new today! Thanks guys!

We do that on occasion. if you link the point cloud in and set your View range/cut plane, it cuts the point cloud just like a fuzzy floor plan. then just trace the walls with the Wall tool (its easier than placing indivigual lines) and place doors/windows as needed :leicht_lächelndes_Gesicht:
