Hi,
I am trying to add a layer to the floor, which is above the elevation. For example, I have a 200mm floor at 0.00m and what to add 25mm flooring which will finish at 0.025m elevation. However, Revit shifts whole floor structure down.
Here is a AutoCAD drawing representing this idea.
QUESTION:
Is there any way I can tell Revit not to shift the whole structure down but just add the desired layer on top of the floor as it is illustrated in the AutoCAD drawing?
Thank you in advance everyone ![]()
If you want to achieve this, draw the floor first and then add roof on top. Roof will tend to extrude upward. If you are producing slabedge drawing, you can easily turn off roof and only show floor slab.
Why use a roof for a floor?
Use a separate floor for finish layer and move it up to the correct level. It can still be hidden (with filters) if required.
just add value from "height offset from level" and see if helps. thanks
create an offset to adjust the floor finish level . This can be done in the properties browser
