Floating Structure?

Hi,

I'm trying to add elevation to my project, i have a DWG file with the elevation, however I cannot get the toposurface to elevate and the surface stays flat. Also i have this hover house problem. I have a building pad, not sure what I'm doing wrong. :(( The original file is not mine, and I'm very new to this software.

All help is appreciated!! Thanks guys. :leicht_lächelndes_Gesicht:Screenshot (33).png

Take another look at the DWG. Do all the contours have height? A side view will be the best way to make sure of that. The linked DWG is where Revit will get its elevations from and give the site its non-flatness.

Your building is constrained to its levels. Take another look at the levels. They can be  moved up / down simply by editing the numbers.

All else failing, feel free to share a file for someone to take a look at.

the problem may be that the DWG was not made with any heights, I don't understand why they wouldn't have been included. The project is just to give the client an idea of what the house will look like finished and landscaped (a very fickle client who keeps changing his mind lol!). The elevation probably isn't essential, but how do I change the building levels? I can do without the elevation but I can't have half the house floating haha!

Go to an elevation view where you can see the levels. Click on a level. You will be able to edit the height of the level.

Also - if you look at the Properties of the 'floating' walls - you will see a bottom offset - change that to a negative value. At least half of the house won't be floating!

For the DWG - typically, each elevation is on its own layer. You can open the DWG, freeze all layers but one, and change the height of each elevation (contour) - select all the objects in the visible Layer -  in the Properties.

You just need to select the floating foundation walls and attach their base to the building pad. For the elevations, draw a masking region to cover the part of building underground. Don't mess with the Level elevations.
