Fixed total area or length parameter

Hi,

is it possible to add fixed value parameter for walls, so that I can calculate total area of the walls and then add Calculated parameter to schedule which would be = Area(total) - Fixed area ?

For example, total Area for all walls would be 300m2, my Fixed value area parameter would be 50m2.

So then Calculated parameter = 300 - 50 = 250m2

Schedules cannot do much with the totals, other than relate percentages of rows in relation to totals.

What does that "fixed area" mean?

Add another phase in the future. Place a window with the fixed area that you need, e.g. 50 sf, set the schedule to that new phase then it will report the total area of wall minus the window area.

If you are not entertained by the phase idea then you can create a design option set with two options: move a wall with the fixed area to design option 1 and leave design option 2 empty.  Edit your schedule VG and choose design option 2 then the schedule with not show the wall with the fixed area and you will have what you want.

Hi,
by fixed I mean - parameter value that does not increment with the incrementation of the family instances.
If I put 50m2 value in Wall Type Parameter it gets incremented every time new wall instance is created.

almost sounds like you are describing a curtain wall that uses a basic wall panel.
