Finding Dimensional Controls of Elements

I'm hoping that someone here might know of a way, but for the life of me I can't seem to locate where the dimension is that is locking an element.  I know that this element was locked via dimension off of a grid line in a view, but in cycling through my views I can't seem to locate where that might be.  I know how to toggle on and off the dimensional elements, but I'm not looking to delete the control, just modify it.  Does anyone know of a way to locate a control in a view, when you don't know what view it is in?

Reveal constraints. One of the buttons on the bottom bar of your screen, with a red dimension icon.

You can do it in any view to reveal the constraining dimensions to unlock or delete them to release the constraints.

Press Reveal Constraints on the View Control Bar.

I know about the reveal constraints button, but that just displays the constraint as a dashed red line.  that I can delete to turn off the constraint.   But in some view is a dimension that is locked that controls the thing I want to edit, and I can't seem to find said dimension to edit it.  Is there some way to tell Revit, "Take me to the view where this dimensional control item is?"

Why don't you just delete the hidden constraint?  Bada bing - no?

I could, and then recreate it, but in this case I would like to know which view I put it in.  While I'm not always perfect about it, I do try and setup specific views that I put dimensional constraints in.  These are often working views full of reference planes, and the like that I use to do things like setup dimensional constraints.  But this dimension isn't there.

It's just me trying to learn better ways to hunt stuff down.  And truthfully I feel like this should be something that Revit let's us do.

It's in all views.  Your views are of a single model.

There is no need to hunt down the dimension because when you unlock or delete the constraint, the dimension no longer locked. You then can go to any view you like and place new dimension to relock it if you want.

Locked dimensions show up after clicking the Reveal Constraints button. Which is fine and dandy - if you know which view holds the particular dimension. You probably have to cycle all views again and switch on Reveal Constraints in every View...

Edit: if you manage to find a Locked Dimension, right-clicking on the lock pops up a context menu with the option Show Related. Don't think it is of any help in this case...

I don't understand why the OP would need to locate the original view that the now deleted dimension was placed in.  Reveal Constraints in any view and delete the constraining dimension.  Bada bing. No?
