I am not able to redue the tranperacny of the filer that i have applied for my floor. Is there a way to solve this ? I tried reducing the transperacny but its not working.

even though the transperacny is reduce the hatch patter looks same in the pdf. I want the transperacny of the pattern to be dull without using the half tone

I do not think Transparency Works Well with Hatch Patterns but more Solid or Material Fills and it was always recommended to use Halftone.

You could always use a Color with a reduced Lum: Value

I am ok with using the halftone but it tones down the lines too, is there a way to keep the line normal ?

Apart from right clicking and using Override Graphics in View, but defeats the Filter functionality a little!

How can you tell? Is there anything beneath the floor to see?  If not, what's the purpose of making the floor transparent?

...maybe you just need to lower your Bottom and Depth View Range settings.

Transparency and halftone are entirely different things.  I have never seen anyone suggesting using halftone to make things appear transparent, so I do not understand why @jay_colcombe suggests "halftone is always recommended".
