Hello All,
I have a question about filters in Revit.
Still not an expert so: I created some filters while in the 3D view and assigned which one to a colour and an assemble which I have created. (something like colour coding).
When i finished I went to the plan view and saw that the filters are not applied. Hence I would have to redo the same thing again on the plan view. Is there an easier way of doing this?
I want to transfer the same colours to the assemblies in my filter for all views.
Thank you.

View templates are likely the route you would like to take. Here is the help link, there is a lot you can do with view templates. Right click on the view you have set up and choose "Create View Template From View", you can then choose what settings you want that view template to control. Keep in mind starting with a 3D view isn't ideal, i would create a template with just your filters, apply that to a plan view and then create new one based on the plan view that controls everything you wan it to control. Use than template going forward for other plan views.
Take a look and try it, i think you will find that view templates can be very useful and you will probably use them for more than just filters
Good luck!

Hi Nicholas,
Thank you very much. I was missing one part which is what you have explained exactly!
All I did was right click and the rest were shown automatically since the filters were already created from the 3D view initially. I then added that template to the other views.
Thank you very much! for your help!
