Filtering elements by Room in a plan

This is quite simple in a schedule.

We are doing room layout sheets for all rooms in a project. I want the plan and 3D to only show the furniture and fittings that are in the room on the sheet, not the items on or against the walls of the adjacent rooms. With L shaped rooms this is particularly problematic in 3D as the section box is cubic.

Currently the only solution I can see is to manually hide items but this will be hard to maintain as items are added, moved and deleted from rooms.

Given the section boxed are rectangle, you can have two 3d views ( section boxes ) and

combine them on sheet..

try this steps..

Opens up possibilities for presentations ..

Step 1 , Step 2, Step 3 are just views, with section box for 3d.

Step 3, this is combined on sheet..

Excellent suggestion by @Corsten.Au.

You can create a Dynamo script to write the Room Number value to a parameter of the Furniture.  Use it to create a View Filter for each Room.

Ended up going with the Dynamo script idea, but instead of filters I simply made it hide all elements outside of the room in the views on the current sheet. The room name comes from the sheet name and it won't hide anything if there is no room name found.
