Filter sheet list

Hello,

My client want a sheet list of all the sheets of the model.

No problem for this.

BUT he wants to hide the line of the list on which the list is inserted.

Exemple :

My sheets are 100/101/102

If I insert the list on the sheet 100, the line 100 must be hidden. The list will be 101/102

If I insert the list on the sheet 101, the line 101 must be hidden.. the list will be 100/102

Do not tell me why my client wants that...

You can get there through filtering.

...and, of course, making duplicates of the schedule - each filtered differently.

No?

@andre.micka

  • Filter using Drawing Name ...
  • condition: "does not contain"
  • value:  Drawing List

Name the sheets with lists as Drawing List Architecture, Drawing List Structure, Drawing List MEP ... etc

Alternatively add any other parameter unique for that filter

So you want a keynote legend filtered by sheet, but in reverse?  Following.

My low tech solution would be to create a black raster image to hide the sheet list on schedule. This would be done in a sheet view.

I am not sure how filtering the schedule using sheet name or any other parameter does not do the trick for you...

would you mind posting an image of an example of how a schedule should look like?

This is why you planned ahead to map out how many sheets you planning to have. I've work with project where we have over 500+ sheets. Any additional sheets added will need to go thru GC and their investors. So we strategized how many sheets we planning to have and map out all the sheet name and number before hand so you won't run into issue adding more sheets.

Do one sheet list, create the filter, duplicate.  If it takes you an additional 2 hours to do it manually then upcharge you client the additional 2 hours.  If you can find or create a Dynamo script to do it in 5 minutes then still upcharge your client 2 hours.  That is how business works.
