Hi all,
I'm wanting to add a filter in elevation to change the colour of a louvre which is part of a window family. The only way I can think of is to specify the louvre to a different family category that isn't being used so the filter would change the colour of the louvre but not the rest of the window.
I'm not even sure that would work - is there any other way to achieve this?

You mean create a different Sub-Category for the Louvers? Sounds like a great idea. What are your reservations about doing it this way?
I did create a new sub-category but it wouldn't show up as a category tick box when creating a new filter. Fairly new to Revit so I might have to have another crack at it if this method is possible

You can turn on/off, change cut/projection line color of subcategories via VG, but you cannot override surface/cut pattern via VG or filters. If you are okay with only changing line color then do it. If you want to change surface/cut pattern color then use the shared/nested family method.
