I have made a series of filled regions in a base model as backgrounds to my drawings. I have linked this into a massing model in which I have used filters to colour in different room types and areas. The filters pick up on 3d families blocks that are used to create a 3d mass and divide visually at the same time. In the massing model the filters are over ruled by the filled regions from the linked model meaning the colours of the filter don't come through despite the filled regions being in a linked model not the main one. Any advice?
Could you review the Links in Visibility Graphics and possibly change the links to by Linked View or Custom so they are not being ruled by the Host Model?
Hiya @jay_colcombe ,
I've already changed the view to custom for the model with the filled regions to set up the background drawing in my main massing model if you have any further suggestions?
hiya @jay_colcombe ,
thanks for the help but masking is already turned of for the filled regions, yet even then as demonstrated in the link the 3d geometry form the main model loses the colours attached to it and is reduced to just lines. I need to retain the colours. As well as this i can still see the geometry of the 3d objects over the filled region, it's the colours from a filter that are lost.
Okay you have a main Model with filters defining colours for 3D objects and when you load in link you loose these Filters (colours don’t show)?
So it’s not related to the filter’s directly or View Templates and we have confirmed VG are correct.
Do you have any Phase Filters?
Can you share images of the issue for clarification?
