Filled Region in Realistic Mode

Does anyone know how to make filled regions match the rest of the drawing whilst the drawing is in realistic mode?

The RGB numbers are the same and the colours match in consistent colour mode. However once realistic colour mode is selected they filled region does not also change.

Thanks for sharing the below workflow @Anonymous Smiley Happy

I encourage you to share a screencast to better explain this workflow.

Hi how to go about it ,

1-Make a copy of the section view toy are working on.

2- In the copied instance, put the display, on hidden lines ( adjust to the same scale as the copied from )

3- draw the filled region on the copied version

4- group select all by filter, then exclude the filled region you want to show. Now you should see only the filled region

5- place the hidden line view you've just created over the realistic view on  the sheet.

Now you have a realistic view showing the filled region detail.

Hi @jagostinho74

Can you share a screencast and a journal file to troubleshoot further?

Now did you what? The entire convestion is about matching filled regions appearance (in a different non realistic view as your suggestion) with model elements appearance in a realidtic view.

I am not question your workflow ot technique. I am questioning the result.

Thanks, @ToanDN you have a valid point that is result oriented.  @Anonymous workflow will also be beneficial to the community seeking similar concentric solutions.

Thank you both!

What is it there to test?  Realistic visual style show the colors and textures of the materials.  Filled regions don't have any material properties.

Hi @Anonymous

The filled region in a Realistic view would be new functionality for mixing line patterns in a realistic view. This can be added to Idea Station.

For instance, this works as expected, realistic views show the material representation of elements, not patterns.  For instance, if you had a brick wall, we wouldn't show the brick pattern and the brick material representation at the same time.

Please check the idea board for similar ideas or create a new one to gather votes, and please share the link. I will follow up from there.

Thanks!

Still a problem in 2025.4. We still not going to address this? My Color scheme shows up as a solid color when set to "Solid Fill". However, when I change it do a lined pattern it shows up as white.
