Filled Region (detail item) preventing Spot Elevation

In Revit 2024, I want to be able to draw filled regions over certain areas of my Area Plan views and then annotate with the floor slab (underside - SSL) spot elevation.

I've just noticed that after drawing the filled regions, it removes the spot elevations and I'm unable to place them again.

Is it possible for my spot elevation to ignore detail items / filled regions?

No issues here.  Is the View Visual Style set to Hidden?

...FWIW:

Just to be clear: Spot Elevations don't recognize Fill Regions.  Fill Regions  are drawn at the Detail Plane of the View - the Plane closest to you. They're two-dimensional.
