you just need to create a shared parameter for filled region. only then you can create a tag.

Are you meaning an Area Color Scheme?

The Area parameter of a filled/masking region is not exposed to be tagged even though you can see the value in its properties.  There are many other elements can be tagged out of the box:  Areas, Rooms, Spaces, Zones, Pads, Floors, Ceilings, Roofs, Conceptual Mass...

If you insist on showing Area in a Detail Item tag, then you will need to learn Dynamo.

Nope, just tagging regular filled region for many reasons...

Same answer.  You will need to use Dynamo to pull the Area value.

Rectangular-shaped?

In-Place or Loadable Filled Regions that are "stretchable" in the x and y direction.  x and y associated to a shared parameters. These same x and y shared parameters are loaded into tag family. Tag family uses Calculated Parameter to report Area from these 2 shared parameters.  x*y=Area.

Here is an example of Dynamo driven Filled Region Area tag.

Unfortunately, they are not simple rectangles. Anyway, I made tag that
reports filled region with type-in area, not ideal, but ok. Still less work
than editing a floor or mass boundaries.
