File won't open in a different PC, Revit becomes unresponsive.

Hello, I have a Revit 2024 file that I made on my laptop previously (last saved about a month ago), but for some reason I needed to have my laptop fixed so I borrowed a friend's laptop to continue doing some work.

I copied my saved files to an external hard drive and proceeded to open Revit 2024 on my friend's laptop, but every time I try to open my file, it shows up a blank page on the software, that would later on become unresponsive. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Revit, making sure no links are included in the Revit file. I've checked it on my laptop and it opened my file normally, but on my friend's laptop it won't.

Here are some specs if you need them:

My Laptop:

- GTX 1660ti

- 8GB Ram

- Intel Core i7-9750H @ 2.60 GHz

My friend's laptop (the one who can't open my file for some reason):

RTX 3060

- AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX with Radeon Graphics 3.30 GHz
- 16GB Ram

I've also attached the file and some screenshots if it helps. Thank you!

File opens fine on my side. Can you open a new project on that notebook?

Thanks for trying it out. Yeah I can create a new project. I've also installed the Revit Libraries on my friend's laptop too but it still becomes unresponsive.

And how long have you waited approximately?
30 seconds, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 2 hours?
I'd first try ennujozlagam suggestions.
Sounds a bit like it is trying to find a path or paths to some files and is having trouble with them (material, templates, Autodesk system data). Some paths/data might be structured slightly differently or access to something might be denied? Run as admin is a good thing to try also. At some cases, running the Autodesk Access (formerly Autodesk Desktop App) before Revit (on the first run for instance) has fixed these kinds of things.

If it was 2024.3 I would say no. For 2024.2, I am not sure. Wait for the other users to answer in the forum.
