Hi,
My first time posting a question here.
I've been working for the past few days on a Revit 2017 project. This morning revit gave me a fatal error. The project at this point is mainly walls, families (doors and windows that i made parametric) and couple of model in-place. The model contains point clouds.
This is the message i get.
-I tried opening the file with Audit, fatal error.
-I tried opening the back-up file in my documents, fatal error.
-I tried to save a recovery and opening it, fatal error.
-It is a file with a central model, I tried detaching the model without Audit. Detach with Audit. Still fatal error.
-This is the best answer I found, (https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles...) , but as i said, as soon as I open the file, Audit or not, fatal error, Revit don't give me time to do anything.
The file CAN be opened with Revit 2018. The client needs the file in 2017, wich is a problem since you cant downgrade Revit, unless there is a way i don't know.
Maybe it is one of my families that is corrupted, since the last thing I did is playing with one of my door parameters.
Can I Unload families without opening the file ?
Is there a way to downgrade from 2018 to 2017 ?
Maybe I'm missing something, I hope I'm missing something.
Tanks a lot.

Hi, me again
I found a solution.
For those who have the same problem, I was able to open the Revit project file on another computer at the office. It took about an hour to open for some reason. Once opened, i saved it and synchronised it. After doing that, for a reason i cannot understand, i could open it on my computer.
Voila
