I receive a notification from Revit saying that a fatal error has occurred, my program must be terminated, and a recovery file will be saved every time I try to edit, add materials or select a certain floor on my plan.
Any help would be much appreciated!
I have no problems editing the floor
Some things you can try:
-Look at the journal file and see if and what kind of error pops up
-Restart your computer.
-Look for updates (Revit, OS, Graphics Card)
-Try a different computer
-Reinstall Revit

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
Start a new Project, in the same Revit session.
Copy/paste the problematic floor into the new project, and see if you can edit it.
If so, it means something is causing the crash in the original file. See if the floor is Attached to any walls, or other elements and try detaching.
See if any sketch lines are locked; if so unlock them.
If it still crashes in the new test project, then perhaps follow the other suggestions in this thread about re-booting the pc, installing any updates for revit, graphics cards/drivers, re-installing revit, etc.
If there is still an issue, sometimes what helps is to cut (ctrl+x) and then paste to align.
