Hi everyone,
I have a group containing all the parts of an apartment: walls, doors, rooms, furniture. Standard practice. We have been working like this for ages.
Problem is now one of them is acting strange. It gives me a fatal error every time I try to either delete it or modify it.
Any clues on why this is happening and how I could solve it?
Thank you!
Kind regards,
Greta
Have you opened your model with the Audit toggle checked? That might be able to fix any errors associated with the errant group.
If that does not work, can you save the errant group out to a separate file? If so, can you open that file with the Audit toggle checked? Does that fix any issues? In the separate file, can you modify things without causing a fatal error? If the separate file appears to be okay, can you then use that file to reload the errant group in your original model? Does that fix things in the original model?
Hi David,
Thank you for your reply.
In the end I noticed that it was only one specific instance of that group that was behaving strangely and the only thing I could do was to un-group it and then delete its elements separately. All the other instances of the group were fine so I just copied on of those.
An audit is due though so thanks for reminding me ![]()
