Family

Hi to everyone, I am still new in Revit ( so be nice 🙂 I am working on a landscape model and I should add the soil volume, right now I am using a Generic model but when I add the family into my model and select the host my family doesn't follow entirely the slope. I found this problem even with other objects (benches etc.) even using the family " furniture" nothing changes. So I was wondering there is someone who can help me to understand where my problem is? Thanks in advance!

Hard to understand what you are describing. Can you post some pictures as well?

Hi, first thank you for your reply! ok so here is two print screen, in the first image you can see what I am speaking of. The blue line is my soil volume but modelled as a generic model, doesn't follow the gradient of my paving, the second one shows how should be.

Sounds like you want the Generic Model to host to the top of the paving, which I assume is modeled with the Floor tool.  

In the Generic Model Family, check "Work Plane Based" and uncheck "Always Vertical" and then reload into Project and place it on top of the pavement by picking "Place on Face" shown on the Contextual Tab.
