Good Morning All,
When I place a 3D camera in the view I want and it looks good, it is now visible in ALL views... How can I make it only visible in only the view I need, without going to each and every view ever created by the other disciplines and doing a view hide.. (Don't let me be the guy that "Ticks" everyone off)
Thanks
Robert

Create a workset, untick [Visible in all views] box, and place the 3D camera in that workset. It will be turned off in all views by default. For the specific views you want to show it, VG > Worksets, and turn on the workset above.
i can only see the camera position when i have the camera view open and the view crop selected? 2015 version - is this a new 'feature'......?
I was supposed he talked about a camera as an actual equipment, not the Revit's camera to create perspective views. I could be wrong.
well if its a shared model then your worksets thing would do nicely......
What category is the camera family assigned to?
If it's like the Revit OOTB family assigned to security devices, that category should only be on in the appropriate views.
The easy solution is to utilize a new workset.
In the future, I would look into using view templates.
I absolutely hate the use of generic categories for anything other than generic stuff. You could change the category within the family but it might not help with your visibility issue or it might. I just don't know.
AXIS camera families for Revit - according to their youtube video - have a yes/no parameter for the display of their FOV. Select your cameras, scroll down in the Properties palette to find the Field of View parameter, and uncheck the box next to it.
Hi @Anonymous
I just wanted to follow up here, any progress on this issue?
Just checking if you have the latest Axis Camera Family add-in installed for your Revit version?
Please see user guide attached for more information.
Thanks @chrisplyler The demo video can be found at the same add-in link.

Hi everyone
Is there any possibility to break the field of view around tables or walls? For example if I set a camera Is there any possibility to set the field of view that it shows that there will be a blind spot under the table or behind the column?
Thanks in advance
you can set the transparency of an object in VG..... this will show any objects behind??!! it wont identify blind spots as such
Ok thanks for advice
But maybe I didn`t write the question clearly, but the problem is that field of view now goes through tables, walls, etc, is there any way to change that so that it wouldn`t do that and the field of view would stop on walls or columns or some other objects.
My task is to set as cameras in some rooms so that everything would be seen from these cameras, and if the field of view goes through everything it is quite hard to do, because I can`t find the blind spots
Thanks in advance
are you looking at 'wireframe' maybe try 'hidden line'..... or one of the other views realistic etc etc

No. The camera families have the FOV established via a simple form volume. They don't have any facility for ray tracing and detecting obstacles or whatever process might be required.
To do what you ask, you would have to devise some crazy work-around that involved light sources. Then, if you set everything up right, blind spots (under tables, etc.) would show up as shadows.
