Hello,
I'm very new to Revit in general, and I'm using 2020. I am trying to make wall and face based families for prefabricated buildings that have a laundry list of items which we want to be able to toggle the visibility of on and off using global parameters. We have had success in doing just that, but now we are running into roadblocks as we are trying to have the visibility of the associated "Description Tag" coincide with the visibility of a given family. When we toggle the visibility of a family off, the associated tag remains in section & elevation views as a dangling tag pointing to nothing. Unless the far clip of the section/elevation is moved "out of range" of the dangling tag. The problem with that is that the section line & far clip need to be positioned to accommodate more than just the Description Tags.
Has anyone had any luck with something like this?
Thank you,
JT

Have you considered doing this through View Rule-Based Filters?
