Hi guys, I can't find any other posts on this, but i have some desk legs modelled directly in Revit 2016, using standard sweeps, however when i render (Revit cloud rendering) the tops and bottoms of the legs seem to distort and splay outwards like a bootcut look.
I also exported these files to Sketchup to put into 3DS for high-quality rendering, and they seem to export with these strange distortions too - however my file in Revit is still showing straight legs, even in the render preview.
Can anyone explain this? I thought it might have been trajectory segmentation, so i set it to 1° for all sweeps, but it hasn't made a difference.
I also tried recreating the sweeps from scatch and recreating the render camera views, but no difference.
I would appreciate any help.
Thanks,
James.

1. You have 2 components/extrusions ...one of these should have a visibility control "For 740H Top
2. I dont have 2016 but I checked it on 2019, 2020 and 2022 and it seems to be fine on my end...(I did fix the visibility issue mentioned above before loading and rendering)

That's very strange, I just checked my file again and all of the parts have visibility parameters assigned... Except when I upgrade it into my Revit 2020 it shows like your screenshot with no visibility parameter! Then when i close it and reopen it in 2016 its showing without the parameter.. so anyway i fixed that and done another render but it still seems to be distorting

Well on my end it seems to render fine as per tze settings captured in the screenshot above inclusing scale of the view.
Maybe the issue is version 2016 related or has to do with the graphic hardware and disply ... i was using an rtx 3080 when i rendered that

Yeah ok, that is odd. I tried deleting one of the types altogether so there's only one extrusion in there, but still has the issue
