Family Stretchable Grip Amount Control

Hi, all.

I created a detail item family that's basically a rectangle (filled region) that can be stretched (with constrained dimensions and reference planes). the top left corner is at the origin (where the two origin ref planes intersect), so the top and left sides are connected to those ref planes. I also added ref planes to the right and bottom sides of that rectangle.

When using this detail in a project, I would like users to only be able to stretch the right and bottom sides of this rectangle, but as it is, when I place this family in the project, all four stretch grips show up, allowing users to stretch all sides.

Is it possible to control the amount of grips that show up and, say, only have one side of the grip show up when using this family in the project, constraining the top left corner to the origin and allowing only the right and bottom sides to be stretched?

Thanks in advance,

Edgar

In the Properties of the reference planes, if you change the parameter "Is Reference" to  "Not a Reference" you will not get the arrow grips to adjust them in the project.  If you need the reference plane there for aligning or other uses, create another one and set that as weak or strong reference, and align and lock it to the original "not a Reference" plane that has the dimensions to it.

You guys rock!!! Thanks!

I also just found a similar answer on this AU video here (beginning around minute 15): Flexible Families...

Again, thank you so much,

Edgar
