Had an issue this morning where I spotted on a sheet some items that were not on the main layout view (filtered out).
Below you can see an AC spur but no others, as is required.
This is the view of the dependent that was created and placed on the sheet.
You can see there is another spur which I do not want to see.
The only way I could get around it was to recreate the dependent view.
I thought it is in some way to do with scope boxes as originally it was set to CORE D – NW but due to want to add a section to the page I had to crop the view.
I would still expect the view to follow the main layout as its an independent.
Is there a setting or a reason why the dependent did not follow the layout view template rules just because the scope box was turned off?.
My concern is that this could be happening on other sheets and I do not know.
Maybe this can be resolved by reducing the Scope Box's Annotation Crop distance.
Only thing I can think of is that that element is manually hidden on the main view AFTER the dependent view was made. These manual edits (incl. graphic overrides) don't transfer over to dependent views after they were made.
Check out reveal elements in the main view....it will show if hidden manually.
I suggest using other methods of hiding individual elements (viewfilter with custom parameter value for instance.)

Elements manually hidden in master view AFTER dependent views were created still show in those dependent views.
This seems to be the case but I don't know why as I have filters in place.
When I select Reveal hidden elements I have two of these items that when selected are denotes as Hidden Elements.
When I hover over other items they says Hidden Category.
I think I figured out why they are hidden as now that I have un-hid them they appear in both views.
The filter is not applying to the either view.
