Family not showing in project after being loaded

Hi,

This is my second post in 4 days so you will probably realize I am pretty new at using Revit.

I have been trying to add a family to project. So in my project I am clicking LOAD FAMILY and then selecting a family I created.

On the screenshot you can see that the family shows in the Project browser (I marked it in red). but it is not visible in the "project workspace"

we all got to start somewhere right?

from your screen shot - if you select the family that has now appeared (click on the +sign to expand and get hold of the family) and drag it across into the model space. it should appear.......

if it doesnt appear here then there are many reasons - it may be hosted family and there is nothing to host it? it may be view range? it may be VG

1) As @Anonymous suggested, drag the family from the Browser. Or else go to Architecture>>Component.

2)If the furniture still doesn't appear, type in VG. Look in Model Categories. Make sure that Furniture is checked.

Loading a family just makes it available within the project. You still have to place one or more instances of it into the physical model.
