when i change in arc radius lenght (1200)the angle of array  stay fixed (60°)  and stating point change

as image 2 show

jj26346_1-1605739365392.png

what i want to do is to make starting point always fixed to the reffernce plan

jj26346_2-1605739647145.pngjj26346_3-1605739917882.png

the resault is to make arc like this with perametre chnging number of holes and diametre and arc radius

forgive my english i hope u undstand what i want ty for helping me

You can Align and Lock the starting Model Group in the Array to a Ref. Plane AFTER you create it.

Yah, nix that.  It's not applicable here. Frankly, I don't understand the construction at all and it's going to require more time than I can give right now to figure it out.  Sorry.

Use an Adaptive Component family, see attached.

I don't think you can align the last member of a radial array. You have to drive the array by the angle.

  • radial_array.PNGMake the angular dimension permanent and assign a label to the dimension [ array_angle ].
  • Make a (type) parameter for the distance between the midpoints of the circles. [ base_width ].
  • Formula for [ array_angle ] parameter :   acos(base_width / (2 * arcL))

acos(base_width / (2 * arcL))  ithink some thing is missing the angle stay allways fixed at 60

or may be i did some thing wrong

base_width is the same as arcL i think ?

It's a Revit 2020 file, I would have to build it for rvt2019 again... It uses devided path with repeated component (nested void). Not really sure if you can get it to work with a regular array if you want to be able to adjust the number of circles, the size and angle also... this way seems to work pretty good though...

this looks great .

can y build it in 2019 pls

and i am quite beginer in revit can u show me how to do this devided path with repeated component (nested void)

the base -width can be different from the arc radius

Works good, however you can't input both number, angle & arc length. Not sure if you can do that without an adaptive family. But actually this is a little simpler and what you could add is the following to determine which method is used for calculation (and associate calculated parameters to the respective family dimensions). So you could input by angle aswell...

even in the file u gave me of the adaptive family couldn't change angle always fixed in 60° do not know why

but the form works great

i was trying to remake it cause i am rly interested on how to do it more then results and i had  some difficulties i think it is just cause of  my beginner  lvl in revit .

would be great to make tutorial or at least suggest similar tutorials on YouTube

and i had this problem when i put the family u sent in the wall

it does not make opening !!

Cut the wall with the family (under modify-->cut).

works great 🤗 and as martijn.pater

said we can add  could input by angle as well.

one little problem the border that handle the arc when we change in arc radius or base width we get deformation

some times arc is biger then the bored some times is so small
