I have a double glass door that I need for my project, it's not loading there, it's not appearing in the project list of doors, I changed the file name, it does not work, any suggestions please?

thank a lot

Check the category of the family.

Hi,

Can you share the family?

Probably, as @ToanDN says, the family category is not correct.

Open the family and check if the category "Doors" is selected.

If not, select it and reload the family to project.

Hi,

Your family is a Metric Door - Curtain Wall (this family won't show up with the Door function). So in your case, you should generate a Curtain Wall and change the Panel to your Door family. Or create a new family, Metric Door for example  (this family will show up with the Door function in Revit).

Hi,

@ralphdenhaanhas right.

If you want to use this exactly door, you can also create a new curtain wall type by Duplicate an Existing:

  • Check Automatically Embed
  • Select the door as Curtain Panel
  • Leave all the others parameters empty.

When you place this curtain wall let height unconnected and give the desired height and length.

Attention! you have to load the door from tab Insert -> Load Family (not from Door).
