Family instance parameter pull arrows

Hi all,

Trying to create my own timber batten with an instance parameter so i can 'pull' the end to desired length/location. For some reason the pull isnt showing on the family. Cant figure out why. Any idea?? Family attached

You were missing a reference plane anchored to the base of the wall.
Now it works. I attach tou the modified family
