Hi, my title is a bit confusing. So here's a long explanation.
See, I have created a window family using a Window.rft template. Is it possible for me to insert that family I created in another family, and place a parameter on it to have an array or multiple copies of it?
It's like, creating a set of multiple windows in a row, but you would like to have it varying based on how many windows you would like on that wall.
I'd like to do that in a single family. Inserting a window, and applying linear array function on it. And also adding a space between windows. Like having a king stud in between them.
Yeah U can Create Like below
Insert the family and add array provide parameter

Hi, can you provide a step by step Video how to create an array in a family. For instance, I want a deck framing system. So I would have an array of 16" distance. but the count would depend on the size of deck.

Use Curtain Wall tool, it is much better than arraying in a family.
Hi @tpreisler,
Maybe I'm missing something, but why not use Beam System? And nest you're family in a Beam family (or convert to a beam category).
See: Beam Systems
or Sloped Glazing?
