I created a base cabinet family a while ago. The project it will be used in will have different base cabinet widths, and maybe different heights. The widths can be individually changed without affecting others, but changing the heights affects ALL cabinets. When I go into ‘Family Types’ I don’t see any indication on which parameters are instance or type. How do I find that info and change it? Thanks!

Types show under the Type Properties and Instance shows under the Instance Properties. For instance, if you select the family in the browser, you can right-click on it to check its Type Parameters. If you select an instance of the family in the project, its Properties will display those parameters/values assigned to it. Regarding changing them: you need to do that in the family itself.
Thank you, and yes I can see that in the Project Browser. I can't see the difference thought in the family type info and don't know how to get the height to be an instance parameter. See below for what I am looking at:
like I said: that's something you do through the family itself - not the project.
...your screenshot looks like it's from the family. Those are all Type Parameters (no "default", except for the "Width" parameter). Just edit them and make Instance.

Your screenshot indicates Height as Type param and Width as Instance param already. Load it in project with Override parameters option selected.
When you select instances in project, Width should appear in the properties and you can enter the value there, Height must be reveal via Edit Type.
What?
I got it now. My problem was that I wasn't seeing how to edit the parameter, but I do now. Thanks to both of you!
Toan: Thanks to Phil, I'm closing in on you for number of "Solutions" offered. I'm now only 555 behind you. Watch out; I'm on your tail! HA!
