Family Annotations not showing on sloped surfaces

So I created a "Generic Model face based" family (Revit 2024), and changed it's family category to Lighting Fixture hoping to create lights that can attach to any surface rather than only wall, or ceiling. We need to show lighting symbols on plans and I was hopping that "Maintain Annotation Orientation" would resolve this issue that when I place the family on a sloped surface it show the annotations (Symbolic lines, Filled regions). But as soon as its placed on a sloped surface, the symbols disappears.

I watched that video and all she suggested was to check that "Maintain annotation orientation" and that fixed it for her. But its not working for me.

The reason that "Maintain Annotation Orientation" didn't work is because your symbol is not an Annotation.  What about nesting in the Symbol as a Generic Annotation Family?

...or Tag it with a Symbol?

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I used Generic Annotation, but its scale gets crazy in different plans. And no to Tag.

Do you know what did the lady use in her video?

The symbol in your Family is done via 2D Symbolic Linework - not a Generic Annotation.  If you want your Face-Based Lighting Family's Symbolic Linework visible in Project Plan View, it can be done by constructing the Family differently.  But it's a PITA workaround for something you can simply do with Symbols/Tags in the Family/Project.  I understand you point about annotative "scaling", but you're going to have the same issue in reverse with Detail Linework because it isn't annotative.
