families visibility problems

Hello,

I am currently facing an issue in Revit and require some assistance. As a landscape architecture student, I have been using two templates for my work. The first template, which was provided by a landscape architect, is slightly outdated and lacks proper topographic representation. Additionally, there are problems with the door and window families in this template.

The second template, obtained from an architect, offers better graphics and the door and window families function perfectly. However, any family that falls under the "Site Component" category triggers the following error message: "None of the created elements are visible in ___ View: ___ View. You may want to check the active view, its Parameters, and Visibility settings." Unfortunately, when attempting to access the Visibility/Graphics settings, I cannot locate any of the components I have downloaded under "site" category. the components functioned properly in the older templates.

I would greatly appreciate any insights into what might be causing this issue and why it is occurring. Thank you for your assistance.

If its not a V/G issue, my next guess would be an elevation issue. Go into a 3D view and see if you can find it. Might be too high or low for the view.

Check for a view template to have been associated with the view to see if it has something turning off the site elements.

Check for View Filters with site elements in them.

Are design options in play?

Are worksets being utilized and could that be an issue?

Can you locate the family in the browser and right-click to Select all instances > In Entire Project?

Have you turned off cropping to try to find it or temporarily turned off a scope box?

Does the family have its geometry set to be visible in the plan view?

Does the family have its geometry set to be visible at the detail level you are using?

Could you be using phasing and that be causing the problem?

Does the view Discipline have anything to do with it being hidden?

Is the family set to not be seen at the scale you are using?

Thanks y'all,

Donnia Tabor
